*WE'RE HITTING PAUSE*

With challenges surrounding live music venues yet again as we move into the winter months we have made the decision to move our event date to 2021. If you can still remember where your ticket is, it will still be valid for the main event next year. At the moment we are looking at one of three dates in May and as soon as this is firmly in place we will let you all know so that you can mark it on your calendars.

We also have plans for a couple of smaller acoustic gigs in March and April for which your main event tickets will also be valid, giving you extra value for money on your ticket.
We'd like to thank all our supporters, performers and our event sponsor Agilisys for your patience and we hope you are all keeping safe an well. Sharon x

Pigshoes are a mix of talent from 3 teenage bands originating in Southport. Still best mates over 30 years on, they are Paul (bass), Ben (drums), Neil (vocals) and Lance (guitar). As teenagers, the four were key members in Fuzzy Felt (Paul), The Deadlies (Ben & Lance) and Appen It Will (Neil).

The history

Picture
Deadly Intentions formed in the late ‘80s in Southport,   later changing their name to the Deadlies. Their punk   based fast pop was very popular in the vein of the   Senseless Things and Mega City 4 who were around at   the same time. They played UK wide in high profile   supports with GBH, UK Subs and punk giants Chelsea   at the famous Marquee Club in London. Following the   release of their Shirkers Playtime 12” EP, and possibly   at their peak, they inexplicably split in the early ‘90s.

Appen It Will formed in 1985 in Southport. Locally they were an instant success with their jangly style of guitar-based rock inspired by bands as diverse as early R.E.M., the Church and Camper Van Beethoven, to name but a few, along with a lot of early Punk. Singer Neil wrote all the words and guitarist Scott, the music, with Phil on the bass and Tuz drumming. They gigged around the country until they unfortunatey went out with a bang in 1991, just after recording three excellent tracks with a new guitar player, Keith. Band members were:  Neil Thompson - Vocals, Scott White - Guitar, Phil Hutson - Bass,

Mark 'Tuz' Rimmer - Drums, Keith Porter - Guitars

Fuzzyfelt were an indie-punk- pop band based in Southport during the mid 90’s made up of Paul,  Mark,  Jim,  Jonny and later Zak. The Fuzzies recorded a number of demos and played gigs around Merseyside making their debut supporting fellow ‘Port band, The Deadlies. They built up a following of like-minded kids who loved a
3 minute, 4 chord pop tune before going their separate ways after a few years together. Band members were:
(L-R) Zak Cain, Jim Range, Mark Range, Jonny Nothard and Spectrum Rimmer

The Left Backs

Picture
Picture
Hailing from Belfast, Liverpool based four piece band of hard rocking amigos 'The Left Backs' have a sense of charm and originality about them. Combining hard hitting riffs with catchy choruses, the lads have an infectious energy that will have you clapping your feet and stamping your hands in no time.
Having made a name for themselves in Belfast around 2015, the Belfast boys made the pilgrimage to Liverpool to complete their music degrees. Once graduated, the boys experienced a rebirth in style and attitude, churning out an array of exciting new material as well as honing their electrifying live show, going on to support up and coming heavy hitters such as 'The Jjohns', 'Glass Caves’, ‘Say Sue Me’ and more.
Inspiration is taken from the riffage of Led Zepplin and Thin Lizzy, the vocal harmonies of The Beatles, the melodies of The Strokes and the occasional screaming horn part of Miles Davis. With this healthy mix of indie, hard rock, garage and even jazz for good measure, the boys strive for a classic sound with a modern twist that defies you not to get stuck into it with them on their journey to the top.

The Extras

The Extras have been bringing their hard edged, red hot high octane music to audiences across the uk since 2008.
The band has their roots in rock n roll, r n b , and early garage freakbeat. In fact, if you don't tap your feet to this stuff then you aint got no feet to tap. The band’s captivating, high-energy performances hark from a liking to all things Dick Dale, The Sonics, The Pirates and Dr Feelgood in style which all makes for an interesting and explosive performance. "Its a bottomless barrel of musical ear candy” in the words of one eloquent fan. Fans tell the band time and time again that they loved dancing, stomping and singing along too and often threaten to come back again to see The Extras in action !
The line up consists of front man, Mark Taylor on vocals, (who is the son of Merseybeat legend Kingsize Taylor),
Dave Woods, who continues to ‘wow’ us on superb guitar, Richard King, keeping that energy going on bass and backing vocals, with the pounding skin man Mark Prescott on drums, giving them that high octane sound that is the Extras!
"The Extra's don't trade in mellow bluesy noodling or moody motif's. It's hot rod R'n'B all the way."
"This band rock harder than Stephen Hawking’s homework"(Lucas Campbell)
